Artist's Description
I volunteered to make bruschetta for a small dinner gathering the other night. I thought it would be fun to prepare this with heirloom tomatoes to add some color and flavor. Once i got the tomatoes home, I couldn't resist taking a few shots to capture their unique shape and coloring. In this image I added a painting application to give the image more of a still life feel. The bruschetta was a great success, so tasty and colorful!

Katherine Erickson is a photographer from Long Beach, California whom has been shooting photos for the past 40 years. Katherine enjoys shooting images along the California coast as well as local desert and mountain scenes. Katherine also likes to experiment with post processing and does both work with layering and painting images. Katherine has a penchant for lively colors and brings this to her photographic work. Katherine likes to focus on the everyday scenes of life which may go otherwise unnoticed. Of late, Katherine has been focused on capturing rays of sunlight in her scenic images.
